$40 million POWERFEST Day 2 Highlights
POWERFEST #09-HR: $200K Gtd NL Hold’em PKO
- Buy-in: $530
- Entries: 623
- Prize pool: $319,287
- ITM: 80
POWERFEST #09-HR: $200K Gtd NL Hold’em PKO saw 623 entries create a guarantee busting prize pool of $319,287 which was distributed among the top 80 finishers.
Only one member of Team partypoker made it into the money and that was the Brazilian sensation Joao “joaosimaobh” Simao who bust in 12th place for $1,993 and $2,034 in bounty payments.
Each of the nine players who reached the final table locked up $2,746 plus their bounty payments, but only one person could become a POWERFEST champion and that somebody was “Iveybluffallin” who walked away $28,689 richer plus bagged $20,215 from sending opponents to the showers.
POWERFEST #10-HR: $200K Gtd 6-Max PKO NL Hold’em
- Buy-in: $1,050
- Entries: 381
- Prize pool: $388,620
- ITM: 48
Just like in the POWERFEST #09-HR: $200K Gtd NL Hold’em PKO, the POWERFEST #10-HR: $200K Gtd 6-Max PKO NL Hold’em saw a member of Team partypoker make a deep run but fall shy of the final table.
Patrick “Patrick_Leonard” Leonard crashed out in 11th place for $2,667 and $3,867 in bounty payments. Leonard would have won at least $7,239 had he reached the final table, but it wasn’t meant to be.
“Snowroll” was the first player to fall at the final table and their $7,239 prize was boosted by $6,459 worth of bounties, the third-highest amount despite them finishing in sixth-place.The most bounties, in terms of prize money at least, went to eventual champion “siwelrrrr” who added $38,244 to their $38,100 prize for topping the 381-strong field.
POWERFEST #10-H: $200K Gtd 6-Max NL Hold’em PKO
- Buy-in: $215
- Entries: 1,327
- Prize pool: $273,362
- ITM: 180
POWERFEST #10-H: $200K Gtd 6-Max NL Hold’em PKO saw its $200,000 guarantee smashed by $73,362 after 1,327 players bought in for $206+$9, a strange-looking figure thanks to us removing the rake from the bounty element of all PKO events during POWERFEST.
“good-bye-PS” should perhaps change their name to “hello-pp” after they triumphed in this $215 buy-in tournament to scoop $20,536 in prize money and $12,352 in bounty payments. A special mention has to go to “LoSientoGrace” who finished second in the $1,050 edition of this POWERFEST event, quite the day we’re sure you’ll agree.
